T.A.C LIES AND PROPAGANDA AD

The T.A.C-like a lot of governmental agencies-are seemingly quite happy to mix a bit of propaganda, or even outright lies in their messages and advertisements. This is a good example; "There's no excuse for speeding" is the slogan from the ad on the right, as if it is true. Truth is, the concept of 'speeding' is an abstract idea that interferes with your major responsibility on the road, which is to drive safely. You are not driving safely if you are 'clock watching'-you are not even watching the road, let alone other traffic, pedestrian's, intersections or changes in road conditions. The concept of speeding is about establishing a power relationship, of convincing you to give up your higher status to politicians and government agencies. It is also about establishing a contract with you, whereby you become obligated to perform certain acts or face 'penalties' or 'fines'. The fact that you have a common law right to travel privately is never offered to you as a choice. Although related, that is a different topic for a different time.

Here is another thought for your consumption; "if everybody's speeds, how come you are passing them?"-because if everybody is 'speeding', it is obviously a practical demonstration of what the community desires, so governments and agencies who are our servants, need to respect that, and stop harassing good people with their attempts to raise a controversy via the propagation of claims, notices, fines or threats.

This ad is all over the place, but you can go to this herald sun web page to view it yourself-until it is remved, of course.

the mikiverse loves free speech and wholeheartedley accepts, that someone who is diametrically opposed to my views is free to promulgate those thoughts...However, misogyny, racism, intolerance etc will see that comment deleted.
These abstract considerations will be solely, and exclusively determined by the mikiverse, so play hard, but, nice.
