MYA may look naturally warm and cuddly, but the nine-week-old Australian shepherd needs a good blanket just as much as the next dog.
The Lost Dogs' Home is calling for people to donate their used blankets and towels - to keep all of its canines warm this winter - as part of its annual drive starting today.
In what is, unfortunately, a peak period for abandoning pets, many dogs are left out in the cold during winter until taken to lost dogs' shelters.
The public donations of blankets, towels, soft dog beds and coats keep thousands of dogs warm and this year a special call has been made for woolly blankets.
Yesterday Mya posed at Eltham Veterinary Practice, which is holding an annual blanket drive to assist the Lost Dogs' Home, alongside the Cat Protection Society in Greensborough, for the fourth consecutive year.
The North Melbourne, Cranbourne, Moss Vale and Echuca lost dogs' depots are the main points for donating blankets and towels this morning.

the mikiverse loves free speech and wholeheartedley accepts, that someone who is diametrically opposed to my views is free to promulgate those thoughts...However, misogyny, racism, intolerance etc will see that comment deleted.
These abstract considerations will be solely, and exclusively determined by the mikiverse, so play hard, but, nice.
